Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), sometimes written as open source intelligence or open-source intelligence, is the disciplined process of collecting, verifying, and analyzing publicly available information from the web, social media, public records, and multimedia to produce actionable insights for investigations and decision making. OSINT helps investigators, compliance teams, journalists, and analysts identify people and companies, map relationships, geolocate images, validate claims, and document evidence ethically and legally.
OSCI stands for OSINT, Skip Tracing, and Cyber Investigations. It is a comprehensive open source intelligence training program that focuses on the main ways OSINT is applied in real investigations. The course covers core intelligence disciplines, including OSINT, IMINT, GEOINT, SOCINT, and HUMINT, with practical methods for collecting, verifying, and analyzing information to produce reliable, reportable results.
The OSCI course gives you the skills, techniques, and confidence to excel in this industry. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced operative, the program is designed to take you step by step through real-world cases and show exactly how they were solved. You will see how investigations are approached and learn the techniques professionals use in practice.
A major strength of the OSCI course is its coaching element. Live one-on-one sessions are built into the program to ensure you not only understand the content but also know how to apply it to your own cases. These interactive sessions allow us to explore advanced methods in detail and give you the opportunity to work through test cases alongside the instructor.
Everything from your computer setup and compliance requirements through to actually performing investigations is covered. You do not need to be a computer expert, we teach you everything you need to operate effectively and confidently in the industry. The courses also has OSINT tools built-in to help you learn and explore, and as part of your course access, you also get access to our full suite of OSINT tools.
Toward the end of the course, we also cover the business side of investigations: identifying and securing clients, knowing what and when to charge, and using professional reporting templates. This equips you with the tools to start your own business or expand the services you already provide.
If you are looking to enter the industry or add new investigative services to your practice, the OSCI course provides the learning, coaching, and mentoring you need to succeed.
